FAQS

Questions? We have answers.

  • Do I need experience to start?

Not at all. Our beginner-friendly classes are designed for people completely new to Muay Thai and fitness training.

  • What should I bring to my first class?

Bring comfortable workout clothes, and water is a good start. If you already have equipment feel free to bring it, but beginners are not expected to own all equipment right away.

  • What should I expect?

Expect a welcoming environment focused on learning, improving, and working hard together. Classes typically include warm-ups, technique instruction, drills, and conditioning.

  • Is Muay Thai a good workout?

Absolutely. Muay Thai is a full-body workout that improves cardiovascular endurance, strength, coordination, balance, flexibility, and overall fitness while teaching practical self-defense skills.

  • Will I get hit?

Only if you want to.  Our Fundamentals classes are technique and fitness based with students holding pads for each other to do drills.  Once you have a good grasp on the fundamentals our Intermediate classes incorporate controlled, live drills with a partner.  Sparring only takes place in our advanced classes.

  • Do I have to compete?

Not at all. While some students choose to compete, most train for fitness, self-defense, stress relief, skill development, and personal challenge. You do not need to compete to enjoy or benefit from training.

  • Are there gym rules I should know?

Yes. Please take a moment to review our gym rules before attending class so everyone can train safely and respectfully. Following gym etiquette helps us maintain a positive environment for beginners, competitors, and everyone in between.
